One Dead and Another Hospitalised After Horrific M25 Crash Near Upminster
A deadly smash involving a lorry and a car has claimed the life of one person on the M25 near Upminster and the Dartford Crossing. The crash happened in the early hours of September 8, close to junction 29.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Emergency services scrambled to the site after being alerted at 3:59 AM, including a response officer, advanced paramedic, and ambulance crew. Despite valiant efforts, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was rushed to hospital, but their condition remains unknown.
Two more people involved were treated on-site and later discharged.
M25 Clockwise Shutdown Sparks Traffic Chaos
All four lanes of the M25 clockwise are shut, causing severe delays as emergency teams conduct investigations.
The London Ambulance Service confirmed: “We were called at 3:59 AM this morning to reports of a road traffic collision on the M25 at J29 near Upminster. Sadly, one patient died at the scene. A second patient was taken to hospital, while two further patients were treated and discharged at the scene.”
Authorities Urge Drivers to Take Alternate Routes
National Highways took to social media, confirming the crash involved a lorry and a car. They warned motorists to avoid the area while closures remain in place.
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted but have yet to release further information on the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved.
