Man Fatally Stabbed in Newham – Murder Probe Underway
A brutal stabbing in Newham has left a 50-year-old man dead and police scrambling to find justice. Raish Ahmed succumbed to his injuries two days after being attacked at a house on Hartington Road on Saturday, October 5.
Emergency Response and Injuries
Emergency crews rushed to the scene just after 4:30pm where Ahmed was found with severe stab wounds. Two others suffered injuries – a teenage boy slashed and another man assaulted. Thankfully, their injuries aren’t life-threatening.
Suspect Charged as Murder Investigation Launched
Daniel Whybrow, 46, who lives on Hartington Road, was originally charged with attempted murder on Sunday, October 6. Following Ahmed’s death, the Crown Prosecution Service will review the charges. Whybrow faces multiple counts including grievous bodily harm, threats to kill, racially aggravated assault, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is set to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, November 4. Police say no other suspects are being sought.
