A man has been charged following several reported burglary attempts on the Isle of Wight. Jake Dunkling, 35, of Nodgham Lane in Newport, is facing charges of four counts of attempted burglary. He is appearing before Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court today.
The charges stem from reports received by police of a man attempting to open the doors of multiple properties in Cowes during the early hours of 20 October. Three of the incidents are alleged to have occurred at addresses on Tennyson Road, while a fourth took place at a property on Bridge Road.
Police have been investigating the incidents since they were reported, and Dunkling was subsequently arrested. Authorities are urging residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Further details will be provided as the case progresses in court.
