Two Charged After Stabbing in Strood, Third Held

Detectives have charged two men over a serious stabbing in Strood, with a third suspect still in custody. The violent attack happened at a High Street property just before midnight on Sunday, 6 October 2024.

Victim Rushed to Hospital

Shortly after the incident, police were alerted when a man in his 20s arrived at Medway Hospital with stab wounds. He was later transferred to a London hospital for further treatment but has since been discharged.

Three Arrested, Cannabis and Charges in the Mix

  • Raphael Wally, 20, from Basingstoke, was arrested in Northampton on 16 October. Police found cannabis in his possession. He faces charges including wounding with intent and possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply. Wally appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and is remanded to Woolwich Crown Court for a hearing on 11 November.
  • Callum Clements, 26, of Swanscombe, was arrested a day after the attack. Charged with aggravated burglary, he appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on 16 October and is also remanded to Woolwich Crown Court.
  • A third suspect, a 20-year-old London man, was detained on 24 October and remains in police custody as the probe continues.
