Third Suspect Charged Over Aggravated Burglary in Folkestone

 

A third suspect has been charged in connection with a violent break-in at a home near Folkestone last year, as Kent Police continue their investigation into the incident.

The burglary took place between 9.50pm and 10.20pm on Sunday, 3 November 2024, at a property in the Corbett Road area of Hawkinge, near Folkestone. The occupants reported that threats were made during the ordeal and valuable items, including watches and wall clocks, were stolen.

On Thursday, 13 March, William Webb, 33, of Stone Street, Canterbury, was charged with conspiracy to burgle and possession of cannabis. He appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 14 March, and was released on bail ahead of his next scheduled appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on 14 April.

Ongoing Investigation

Kent Police confirmed that two other suspects were previously charged in November as part of the same investigation. Their case is due to be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, 27 March.

A police spokesperson said:

“Our investigation into this aggravated burglary remains ongoing, and we continue to pursue all lines of enquiry to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.”
