Man Charged with Murder Following Fatal Stabbing in Brixton of 34-year-old Troy Ramsunda

 

A man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 34-year-old Troy Ramsundar in Brixton, south London.

Ibrahim Gonclaves-Cumare, 30, of no fixed address, was formally charged on Sunday, March 23, in connection with the violent incident, which occurred on Thursday, March 20. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 24.

Stabbing in the Early Hours

The Metropolitan Police were called at around 5:10am on Thursday to reports of a man suffering from stab wounds on Brixton Road, SW9.

Emergency services, including officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics, responded swiftly, but despite their best efforts, Troy Ramsundar was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and his family is receiving ongoing support from specially trained officers.

Murder Investigation

Following the incident, a murder investigation was launched, with detectives working around the clock to identify and apprehend those responsible. The arrest and charge of Gonclaves-Cumare mark a significant development in the case.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said:

“We are committed to delivering justice for Troy’s family and continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.”

Appeal for Witnesses

Police are urging anyone who was in the Brixton Road area around 5am on March 20 or who may have dash cam or CCTV footage to assist with the investigation.
