Daylight Shooting Shocker in Forest Gate

A brazen broad daylight shooting in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, has left one man with a gunshot wound and two others with head injuries. The terrifying incident happened just before 2.40pm on Tuesday, prompting a rapid response from the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance.

Two Arrested and Gun Recovered

Police swiftly arrested two suspects, with one now in hospital nursing minor injuries. A firearm has been recovered from the scene. Authorities sealed off the residential street with a police cordon as forensic teams carry out a detailed investigation.

One male was treated for a gunshot wound and taken to hospital, where his condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Chief Inspector Daryl Jones of the North East Command acknowledged the impact on locals and reassured the public:

“We are aware that this shooting on a residential street this afternoon would have had an enormous impact on the local community. We are pleased we’ve been able to make two arrests and recover a firearm within hours of the incident.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed their critical response:

“We were called at 2.51pm to reports of a shooting. We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic from our tactical response unit, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance.

Three patients were treated at the scene. One was taken as a priority to a major trauma centre, and two others were taken to hospital.”
