Kent Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify in connection with an assault on Margate’s seafront earlier this month.
The incident occurred shortly after 9:30pm on Saturday, 17 May 2025, at the Sun Deck on Royal Crescent Promenade, where both a man and a woman were reportedly assaulted. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained.
Officers are continuing their investigation and believe the man pictured may hold information that could assist with ongoing enquiries.
“We are appealing to the public to help us identify the individual shown in the image. He may be able to help us better understand the circumstances surrounding the incident,” said a spokesperson for Kent Police.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the man in the image to contact them directly by calling 01843 222289 and quoting reference number 46/82944/25.
