Armed police descended on the top end of Margate High Street this afternoon following a violent knife attack that left one man injured.
Kent Police were called to the scene around 2:15pm after a man suffered a slash wound to his arm. Emergency services attended, and although the injury was described as serious, it is not believed to be life-threatening.
A 32-year-old man from Margate was arrested shortly after the incident and taken into custody. Armed officers surrounded a property as part of the response, with several streets briefly cordoned off while the situation was brought under control.
