Two Teens Stabbed in Late-Night Sydenham Street Brawl
Police launch hunt after violent fight on Venner Road leaves two 16-year-olds stabbed.
Blade Attack Sparks Panic on Venner Road
A brutal stabbing rocked Sydenham late on Tuesday night (15 July) when two 16-year-old boys were attacked during a large street brawl. Emergency services were scrambled just after 11:10pm following reports of a fierce fight breaking out in the SE26 area.
Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service teams arrived fast and found the teens suffering serious stab wounds. Both were treated on the scene before being rushed to major trauma centres.
“We sent ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched. We treated two patients and took them to hospital,”
said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Police later confirmed the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
No Arrests Yet as Police Search for Witnesses
Despite the severity of the incident, no arrests have been made. Detectives are investigating and want anyone who saw the fight or caught it on dashcam or doorbell cameras to step forward.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found two 16-year-old boys with stab injuries. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
