Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm Fans Beg: “Don’t Quit Now!”
Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm Wrapped – Is It the End?
Jeremy Clarkson has dropped the bombshell to his fans – season five of Clarkson’s Farm is officially wrapped. The 65-year-old ex-Top Gear star posted a snap on Instagram with farm manager Kaleb Cooper, Gerald Cooper, and girlfriend Lisa Hogan, captioning it simply: “Season 5. It’s a wrap.”
Fans flooded the comments, desperate for more. One pleaded, “Please, don’t stop.” Another said, “This is the only show I want to see 20 seasons of 😍.” Could this be the end of their beloved farming adventure?
Health Woes and Farming Setbacks Force a Pause
Clarkson has been brutally honest about the challenges behind the scenes. His Diddly Squat Farm recently suffered a ‘catastrophic’ harvest after a bovine tuberculosis outbreak wiped out much of the cattle herd.
“I’d do a sixth if there was a reason, like a bloody good story. But if, say, my Backback turns out to be cancerous then I wouldn’t,” Clarkson revealed to The Times.
He added that everyone urgently needs a break:
“The crews are all worn out. We’ve been filming two or three days a week for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
Not Hanging Up His Wellies Just Yet
Despite the hints of a break, Clarkson has no plans to retire. In fact, he joked:
“I’d just be an alcoholic if I stopped working. I have no hobbies, I’m good at nothing. Some people enjoy golf or fishing, but I’m not interested in anything particularly. I enjoy having lots of different jobs to do.”
Since launching his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, last year, Clarkson’s been busy dishing out his signature wit. He’s cheekily poked fun at food intolerances and took a playful jab at Stacey Solomon after bagging a National Television Award (NTA).
Clarkson’s Farm Snatches NTA in Stunning Upset
The Amazon Prime hit shocked viewers and critics alike by beating Gogglebox and Stacey Solomon’s shows to win the Factual Entertainment award. Celebrating the victory, Clarkson quipped:
“It’s great that a farming show can beat a house cleaning show.”
He also saluted his team’s hard work in his acceptance speech:
“We worked way harder than anyone else in this room.”
