Armed cops stormed a residential building from every angle before dragging out a suspect in a chilling black-and-white video. The dramatic footage, released by Merseyside Police, offers a gripping glimpse into the hunt for justice in the murder of Elle Edwards on Christmas Eve.
Moment of Arrest Caught on Camera
The clip shows officers entering a property from both sides before leading a suspect away. Merseyside Police tweeted alongside the video: “Watch the moment we arrest a suspect as part of our ongoing investigation into the murder of Elle Edwards in Wallasey on Christmas Eve. Our efforts to remove criminals from our streets will never cease.”
Three Held as Murder Probe Continues
So far, three arrests have been made linked to the killing outside the Lighthouse Inn pub in Wallasey Village, Wirral. A 31-year-old man is currently being questioned. Earlier arrests include a 30-year-old from Tranmere and a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry, detained on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to murder. Both were arrested on Boxing Day.
Police Plead for Key Info
Detectives say they have “some tremendous intelligence” but still desperately need to find the gun used to kill 26-year-old Ms Edwards. Officers remain at the scene, keeping cordons in place as forensic teams comb the area.
Deputy Chief Constable Ian Critchley vowed: “We will not rest until justice is served for Elle’s family. I am still appealing for information from anyone who knows who was responsible for pulling that trigger in the most indiscriminate, most appalling manner. We want to hear from anyone who knows where the weapon is or has any information at all.”
Chief Constable Serena Kennedy added she is committed to a “relentless” search for those behind the cold-blooded murder.
Call for Witnesses and Footage
Merseyside Police have urged anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or phone footage linked to the case to come forward immediately. If you have any information that could help, contact officers or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
