Former high-profile DJ Tim Westwood is facing serious sex crime allegations. The 68-year-old Westminster resident has been charged by the Metropolitan Police after a lengthy investigation. The charges are severe:

  • Four counts of rape
  • Nine counts of indecent assault
  • Two counts of sexual assault

Allegations Span Decades, Multiple Victims Speak Out

The case involves seven women with incidents dating back to the early 1980s. Police say the offences took place across London and beyond, spanning more than three decades:

  • 1983: 17-year-old girl indecently assaulted in Fulham
  • 1986: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Vauxhall
  • 1995-1996: 17-18-year-old woman raped and assaulted in London
  • 2000-2001: Another 17-18-year-old woman raped and assaulted in London
  • 2010: Woman in her 20s raped in London
  • 2010: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Stroud
  • 2016: Woman in her 20s sexually assaulted in Finchley

Police Plea: Witnesses Urged to Step Forward

Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said: “It takes real courage to report these allegations. The women who have stepped forward have put their trust in us, and we continue to support them fully.” “Our investigation remains open. All contacts are treated with strict confidentiality.” “Victims can also get support from the independent charity Rape Crisis via their 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.”
