Court Round-Up: Havering Residents Sentenced for Assaults, Drug Offences and Stalking

Unlicensed and Reckless

Daizie Arnold, 20, from Restons Crescent, Avery Hill, pled guilty to dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking. On July 13, she tore through a no-entry sign on Leyland Road riding a Honda 125 motorbike.

Breaking the Speed Limit – By a Mile

Arnold then blasted along Osberton Road at 50mph – where the limit is just 20mph. Court papers confirm the bike wasn’t hers; it had been taken without the owner’s consent. Although she wasn’t the first to steal the bike, her reckless driving caused damage to the vehicle.

Judge Shows Leniency

Arnold was unlicensed and uninsured. At Bromley Magistrates’ Court on October 16, she received a one-year custodial sentence – but it was suspended for a year due to her clean record and “realistic prospect of rehabilitation.”

She was handed a one-year driving ban and ordered to pay £300 compensation to the bike’s owner.
