A 17-year-old boy has been jailed for eight years following a fatal stabbing near a disused bus station in Hatfield.
Nehemiah McIvor-Murray Sentenced for Manslaughter
Nehemiah McIvor-Murray, from Clarkson Court, was convicted of manslaughter at St Albans Crown Court after a month-long trial. The teen was just 16 when the deadly attack happened. He will serve an additional four years on extended licence after release.
Deadly Clash at Abandoned Bus Station
The stabbing took place at 1:11pm on Sunday 23 March near the old Hatfield bus station off Parkhouse Court and Jetliner Way. Two men clashed, leaving a man in his 20s fatally stabbed at the scene.
CCTV and Witnesses Help Police Crack Case
- Police used CCTV footage and witness accounts to identify McIvor-Murray.
- He was arrested early on Tuesday 25 March at a London hospital.
- While denying murder, McIvor-Murray admitted to carrying a blade.
- In October, a jury cleared him of murder but found him guilty of manslaughter.
