No Arrests Made as Police Hunt Attackers

A 25-year-old man is fighting for his life after a stabbing on Essex Road, Islington, last night during an attempted robbery.

Terrifying Attack on Essex Road

The victim was found with stab wounds at around 7pm on Wednesday, January 27. Paramedics and police rushed to the scene after reports of a robbery involving the theft of the man’s phone and bike.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Metropolitan Police confirmed no arrests have been made yet. Detectives are investigating and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

“Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at around 7pm on Wednesday in Essex Road, Islington,” a spokesman said. “His injuries are potentially life threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made at this stage.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police on 101 or online, quoting reference 6609/28JAN. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Emergency Services Respond

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.01pm to reports of a stabbing on Essex Road, Islington. An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene. We treated the patient at the scene and transported him to a major trauma centre.”
