Kent Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they urgently want to identify following a serious knife assault in Canterbury.
Three Held After Early Morning Stabbing
The drama unfolded at 1.15am on Friday, 20 February 2026, on Rheims Way. A man in his 30s suffered knife wounds to his head and back during an attack involving a group that fled the scene.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene. The victim was hospitalised but later discharged.
Two Men Charged, Third on Bail
- Ashley Holton, 38, no fixed address, and Callum Sands, 24, from Old Watling Street, face charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
- Both appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court and are remanded to Canterbury Crown Court for a hearing on 30 March.
- Paul Kennedy, 45, also from Old Watling Street, charged with assisting an offender, was bailed with strict conditions to appear at the same Crown Court date.

Detectives believe the woman caught on camera could hold crucial information. They urge anyone who recognises her, or witnesses who haven’t come forward, to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/28106/26.
