A drug dealer has been sentenced to two years and nine months in jail following the death of a 41-year-old mother from Exeter due to a cocaine overdose in September 2023, police have confirmed. Reece Webb, 27, from Drum Way, Heathfield, pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine at Exeter Crown Court on 20 April.

Fatal Overdose Revealed

Ms Mandy Bond was found deceased at her Exeter home just before 8pm on Saturday, 9 September 2023. Following her death, a family member’s attempt to contact Ms Bond uncovered Webb’s involvement when he answered her phone, demanding £80 owed for drugs.

Cold Collection Call

Webb later contacted the family member from another number, revealing he had taken Mandy’s phone as payment, and chillingly responded, “I still need paying,” when told of her death.

Drug Supply Evidence

Police traced Webb to his home where they recovered 26 watches believed linked to crime proceeds and multiple bags with traces of a white substance. Investigation of his phone further revealed messages consistent with drug supply activities.

Confession To Supply

During police interview, Webb admitted to supplying Class A drugs to fund his own cocaine addiction, reinforcing his role in the tragic chain of events leading to Ms Bond’s overdose.
