Two men from Norwich, Derek Brown, 61, and Kevin Gibbs, 46, have been sentenced to over ten years each after carrying out an armed robbery at a home in Boston. They forced their way inside, restrained the female occupants, and repeatedly demanded property while threatening them with a knife and imitation firearm. The sentencing took place at Lincoln Crown Court on 8 June following their guilty pleas on 12 March.
Heavy Jail Terms
Derek Brown was sentenced to 12 years and nine months for robbery plus three years concurrently for possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear.
Kevin Gibbs received 11 years and two months for robbery, alongside a concurrent three-year sentence for the imitation firearm offence.
Armed Threats Inside Home
The robbers armed themselves with a knife and a realistic-looking imitation firearm, using these to intimidate the female victims during the property demands inside the Boston residence.
Conviction After Guilty Plea
Both men admitted guilt to all charges on 12 March 2024.
