Disturbing Abuse Exposed
Bakatash groomed one victim online before inviting both girls to his home. He supplied them with alcohol and then committed the rapes and sexual assaults.
Guilty On All Charges
Facing two counts of rape of a child under 16, one count of sexual assault, and assault by penetration, Bakatash denied all charges. The jury found him guilty on every count.
Ongoing Victim Support
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the victims continue to receive specialist support, with their welfare a top priority following the traumatic events.
Police Praise Survivor Bravery
Superintendent Helen Critchley, Bolton District Commander, said: “I would like to thank both survivors for their immense bravery during these proceedings. Their unwavering strength and courage has been instrumental in securing this conviction. Bakatash denied manipulating, grooming and assaulting both girls. He denied the pain and hurt he subjected them to. He showed a blatant disregard for his actions and the long-term impact this would have on the victims. But today a jury rightfully found him guilty on all counts.”
