Knife Rampage in Earlsfield Ends in Arrest

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after brandishing a machete on Garratt Lane, Earlsfield. Police were called at 4.42pm on Monday, 7 September, following reports of the man threatening passersby with the large blade.

Dramatic Chase Through the Streets

Officers from the Violence Suppression Unit and emergency response team swooped on the scene. The suspect bolted but was quickly chased down. During the pursuit, he tossed the machete aside.

Drugs, Cash, and Crime

Police detained the man and arrested him on multiple charges: possession of an offensive weapon, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and affray. Officers seized the machete, cannabis, and around £4,000 in cash.

Woman Also Held

A female caught up in the incident was arrested on suspicion of affray. The 19-year-old suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
