Woman in her 70s hit by lorry in Eltham – Condition life-threatening
Serious crash on Footscray Road
A woman believed to be in her 70s was seriously injured after being hit by a lorry on Footscray Road, Eltham, at 2.35pm on Friday, December 9. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.
Dashcam footage and witnesses urged to come forward
The pedestrian was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The lorry driver stopped and remained at the scene. No arrests have been made so far as police continue their investigation.
Police appeal for information
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called to Footscray Road following a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian. The woman was treated by emergency crews before being hospitalised. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage that could help should contact police on 101, quoting reference CAD 3868/9 Dec.”
