Car Set Ablaze on Christmas Eve in Cumbernauld
Police are hunting two men after a brazen arson attack in a Cumbernauld car park. A white Skoda Octavia was deliberately set on fire in the early hours of Sunday, 24 December 2023.
Suspects Flee Scene Near North Carbrain Road
The blaze broke out around 2.05am in the Burns Road area. Witnesses spotted two men fleeing towards North Carbrain Road:
- Both wearing dark clothing
- One carrying a white plastic carrier bag
Police Seek Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Constable Craig Hartley urged anyone with information to come forward:
“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dash-cam or private CCTV that could help with our enquiries. We are also looking to speak to the men seen at the time or anyone who knows who they are or where they went.”
