Urgent Hunt Underway for Mother of Newborn Left Outside Hospital
A newborn baby was found alone outside Darent Valley Hospital’s main entrance at 3.15am on Friday, 24 May 2019. The tiny infant is safe, unharmed, and receiving excellent care from hospital staff.
Police Race to Find Mother, Ensure Her Safety
Kent Police detectives are chasing multiple leads to identify the mother and check on her wellbeing. They are making a heartfelt appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
“It is really important that we locate the mother as we need to ensure she is safe and receives any support she may need,” said Detective Superintendent Gavin Moss.
“I want to stress this is about her wellbeing—there’s nothing to fear in coming forward. I urge her to call us on 999 immediately.”
