Brutal Park Attack: Cyclist Slashed and Robbed in Broad Daylight
Shock in Sutherland Memorial Park as a cyclist is violently attacked on his way to Sainsbury’s, Clay Lane. The incident happened at 7:50pm on Saturday, 25 May.
Victim Ambushed Without Warning
While cycling through the park from Burpham Lane, the victim spotted a group of four males. Suddenly, one shouted, “Oi you, stop! What’s in your bag?”
Without warning, a second male attacked the cyclist, slashing a deep cut across his face. The attacker then grabbed the victim’s mobile phone and bag before fleeing the scene.
Police Hunt Two Young Suspects
- Suspect One: White male, slim build, about 5’11”, 20 years old, clean-shaven, short brown hair, slightly tanned.
- Suspect Two: White male, medium build, about 5’11”, 22 years old, short blonde hair, wearing a white tank top and thin gold chain.
