Failed Smash-and-Grab at Bulwell Jewellers

A brazen burglary attempt was foiled in broad daylight at Cash Monkey on Main Street, Bulwell. Two suspects rolled up on a black moped and one tried repeatedly to smash the shop’s front window displaying jewellery and watches – but luck wasn’t on their side.

Quick Escape After Foiled Break-In

The moped, believed to have come down a nearby alleyway, pulled up outside the shop just before midday on 12 February 2023. Despite striking the window several times, the crook couldn’t break through. The pair then made their daring getaway heading towards Bulwell bus station.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Detective Sergeant Steve Dalby of Nottinghamshire Police said: “This was an extremely upsetting incident for staff, local businesses, and the public.” Investigators have already interviewed witnesses and scoured CCTV footage but need more help.

“It was a busy time with many pedestrians and drivers about. If you saw anything or have dash-cam footage, please get in touch.”
