West London Stabbing: Police Release CCTV of Key Suspect
Detectives hunting a stabbing suspect in west London have dropped CCTV footage of a man they need to identify. The footage shows him loitering at a bus stop on the Brunel Estate at 5:15am on Wednesday, 22 April — mere minutes before a brutal stabbing nearby.
Victim Attacked Near Bus Stop, Found with Stomach Wound
London Ambulance Service called police at 5:36am reporting a man had been stabbed on the Brunel Estate off Westbourne Park Road (W2). Officers found a man in his 50s suffering a serious stab wound to the stomach.
The injured victim managed to board a bus, where he told a fellow passenger about the attack. That passenger alerted the driver, who helped the victim until emergency services arrived. Detectives say the stabbing happened about 100 yards from the bus stop shortly after the suspect’s CCTV footage was captured.
The victim was rushed to a central London hospital and remains in critical condition. So far, there have been no arrests.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Bus Passengers
“We are particularly keen to identify the man pictured, but also want to hear from anyone on N28 or N31 buses near Westbourne Park Road around the time who saw suspicious behaviour,” said Detective Chief Inspector Christina Jessah. “Local residents who may have heard raised voices — no matter how minor it seems — please call us.”
