Man Hospitalised After Lewisham Stabbing Horror
A 24-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing on Lewisham High Street late Wednesday night. The attack happened near Lewis Grove at around 10:25 PM, sparking a rapid response from London Ambulance Service and the police.
Suspect Arrested as Crime Scene Sealed Off
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Lewis Grove remains cordoned off while officers piece together what happened. The victim was treated at the scene before being rushed to a London major trauma centre. His current condition remains unknown.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10:18 PM after reports of a stabbing on Lewisham High Street. Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance were dispatched immediately. Our first team arrived within four minutes and treated the victim before taking him to a major trauma centre by road.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Metropolitan Police said: “We were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 10:25 PM on Wednesday, 16 October, to reports of a man stabbed on Lewisham High Street. A crime scene is currently in place.” They urged anyone with information to call 101 immediately.
