Chaos hit High Wycombe this afternoon as police slammed the sirens and gave chase to a Mercedes C63 AMG driver who refused to stop. The suspect, desperate to dodge a return to prison, led officers on a nail-biting pursuit through the town, causing significant traffic disruption.
Volvo vs Mercedes: Police Win the Race
The dramatic chase saw a police Volvo close in on the getaway car. Despite the suspect being described as a “very nasty individual,” the officers managed to bring the pursuit to a safe end. Traffic was snarled, but luckily no one was seriously hurt.

“We apologise for causing traffic mayhem in High Wycombe this afternoon! Unfortunately, a very nasty individual was reluctant to go back to prison and decided not to stop for us… Volvo v Mercedes C63 AMG was always going to be interesting, but we won,” confirmed police.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and is now back inside prison walls. Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward.
