Chaos erupted at the busy junction of Maygrove Road and Kilburn High Road, NW6 on Monday afternoon. At exactly 4:58pm, police scrambled to the scene after a violent spat between two men took a nasty turn – one was hit with a suspected corrosive spray.
39-Year-Old Sprayed with Suspected PAVA or Pepper Spray
Emergency crews from the London Ambulance Service treated a 39-year-old man at the scene. The victim suffered burns from what is believed to be either PAVA spray or pepper spray.
Thankfully, his injuries were non-life-threatening and he didn’t need hospital treatment.
Police Hunt Attacker After No Arrests Made Yet
Officers are still on the hunt for the man who sprayed the victim. Despite a swift response, no arrests have been made. The Met Police urged anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
“The reckless use of corrosive substances in public won’t be tolerated,” a Met Police spokesperson said.

Residents and businesses around Kilburn are being warned to stay vigilant. This latest attack follows a worrying rise in assaults involving chemical irritants across London.
