Man Shot Dead by Police in Kent Murder Probe

A man has been shot dead by police during a late-night operation linked to the murder of 73-year-old Roy Blackman in Kent.

Police Open Fire in Goldenhurst

The fatal shooting happened in Smiths Lane, Goldenhurst, at around 8:30pm last night. Officers were carrying out a planned raid connected to Roy Blackman’s murder at his Biddenden home on March 21.

One Man Dead, Firearm Recovered

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed shots were fired during the incident. One man was fatally injured at the scene and a firearm has been recovered. Formal ID is yet to take place but police believe the deceased is the suspect they were hunting in connection with the murder.

Independent Investigation Underway

“The matter has now been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission as is mandatory for all police shootings,” said the spokesman.
