Man Hospitalised After Road Rage Stabbing in Rainham
A man has been rushed to hospital following a suspected road rage stabbing linked to a motorbike in Rainham early Tuesday morning.
Early Morning Assault Shuts Down New Road
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 3:41am after reports of an assault at the junction of New Road and Cherry Tree Lane. The victim was treated on-site by London Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital.
“We were called at 3.41am today (25 June) to reports of an assault at the junction of New Road and Cherry Tree Lane, Rainham. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a patient before taking them to hospital,” a spokesperson confirmed.
Road Closures and Heavy Police Presence
New Road was sealed off for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident. The road reopened around 9:50am, but officers remain at the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Locals reported a large police presence and roadblocks in the area throughout the early morning hours.
Met Police Probe Possible Road Rage Motive
UKNIP understands the stabbing followed a confrontation involving a motorbike and is possibly linked to road rage. The Metropolitan Police have yet to release full details but promised updates once their initial enquiries conclude.
