Thug Smashes Police Windscreen While Cops Aid Assault Victim
A police patrol car was put out of action after its windscreen was smashed during a late-night call on Coxford Road.
Moped Rider on Stolen Bike Causes Chaos
While officers helped a vulnerable assault victim, a moped rider – believed to be using a stolen bike – deliberately smashed the police car’s windscreen. The attack left the vehicle out of service and officers struggling to cover emergency calls.
Police Left Stranded – Urgent Appeal for Help
“Officer dealing with a vulnerable victim of an assault on Coxford Road this evening. Whilst the patrol car was parked on the road, the rider of a suspected stolen moped caused damage to the windscreen. Vehicle off the road and officers unable to attend emergency calls.”
The damaged police car has been recovered but won’t be back on duty until repairs are done, putting extra pressure on local police resources.
