Huge Lockdown Party Crashed in Chislehurst

Just before midnight on Saturday, November 28, cops were flooded with calls about a massive illegal gathering in a garage at Marlings Park Avenue, Chislehurst.

Officers arrived to find 60-80 revellers packed in tight. While some groups fled straight away, a second bunch tried to hide in a room. Police swiftly dispersed them without trouble.

Party Organiser Faces Hefty £10,000 Fine

The man behind the bash, 35, was soon tracked down and warned enforcement action was on the cards. He now faces a potential £10,000 fine for breaking Coronavirus rules.

Police Crackdown on Lockdown Lawbreakers

Chief Inspector Neil Jeffs said: “This was a blatant attempt to breach the Coronavirus regulations and the behaviour of the organiser in this instance was unacceptable.

While some of the crowd left immediately, others tried to hide in a room in a forlorn attempt to evade officers.

We will continue to take tough action against those who selfishly fail to respect the regulations which the majority of Londoners have followed admirably.”
