Knife attack closes Perry Vale again

Perry Vale remains closed westbound from Mayow Road to Westbourne Drive today (March 7), marking the third consecutive day since a stabbing rocked Forest Hill on Wednesday, March 5.

Man stabbed near Sunderland Road — condition stable

Police were called to Sunderland Road near Perry Vale just before 5:30pm on March 5. They found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital, but thankfully his injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.

Road still sealed off, bus routes disrupted

Despite brief reopenings, Perry Vale remains closed with a crime scene in place.

  • The 356 bus route is being diverted while the police investigation continues.

Police plea for witnesses amid ongoing probe

No arrests have been made yet. Officers continue to hunt for suspects and urge anyone with information to call 101 quoting the incident reference or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
