Police Report Themselves After Woman Found Murdered in Hove
A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in Hove in a suspected murder.
Woman Falls From 7th Floor Flat
At 5:53am on Saturday 18 January, emergency services rushed to Clarendon House on Clarendon Road. A woman, believed to be in her early 30s, had fallen from the 7th floor. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Murder Probe Launched
The Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team quickly sprung into action. A 52-year-old man, known to the woman, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police Report Themselves to IOPC
In a rare move, police have self-reported the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). This comes amid their recent contact with both the victim and suspect.
The investigation is in its early stages. Authorities have yet to release any further details.
