A Merseyside Police sergeant sprang into action when a panicked woman realised her bag was left on a departing bus. Sgt Garreth Berry didn’t hesitate, teaming up with bus company Arriva North West to track down the lost belongings.

The drama unfolded when the woman flagged down Sgt Berry just as her bus pulled away. Acting fast, he contacted the bus driver, and together with Merseyside Police, they located the vehicle and recovered the bag.
“The panic on her face when I pulled up! Just glad we could find the bus and her bag. One very happy owner reunited with her bag!” Sgt Berry shared on social media.
