David McDonald has been snapped up by the SNP’s National Executive Committee to take the reins until the next annual conference. The role was temporarily filled by party boss Humza Yousaf.
Police Probe into SNP Finances Continues
The ongoing police investigation, dubbed Operation Branchform, kicked off in July 2021 amid serious concerns over the handling of party donations. Earlier this month, ex-SNP chief executive Peter Murrell was arrested but quickly released without any charges.
