In the early hours of Saturday, Thamesmead was rocked by a savage stabbing spree. Emergency crews rushed to Nathan Way, SE28, just after 4am on 17 May following reports of multiple stabbing victims at a local event.

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service arrived quickly, discovering five people stabbed and badly wounded.

Three Victims Critical, London Ambulance Confirms

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 4.17am on Saturday to reports of a stabbing in Nathan Way, SE28. We dispatched ambulance crews, paramedics, an incident response officer, advanced paramedics, and London’s air ambulance. Three patients were treated on scene before being rushed to hospital.”

Authorities confirm three of the five victims remain in critical condition as police continue their urgent investigation.

Police Launch Full-Scale Probe – Appeal for Witnesses

Forensics teams have sealed off Nathan Way, combing the area for clues. The Metropolitan Police say:

“This was a serious assault involving multiple victims. We are working hard to identify those responsible and support the victims. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward immediately.”
