Wall’s Urgently Recalls Scotch Eggs Over Salmonella Fears
Wall’s has launched an urgent recall of two of its popular scotch egg products after dangerous Salmonella bacteria were detected in certain batches. The affected items are The Classic Scotch Egg and 2 Classic Scotch Eggs, both carrying a use-by date of 02 July 2025.

Health Risk: Salmonella Contamination
Salmonella is a harmful bacteria that can cause severe food poisoning symptoms such as stomach cramps, diarrhoea, fever, and vomiting. It is especially dangerous for children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
What Should You Do?
- Do not eat these scotch eggs.
- Return them to the place of purchase immediately for a full refund.
- Check your fridge and cupboards to ensure you don’t have the affected batches.
“Wall’s is recalling the above products as a precautionary measure due to the risk posed by Salmonella contamination,” the company said in a statement.
