Tragedy at Belfast Nightclub: Young Woman Dead, Another Hospitalised
A woman in her 20s has died and another is in hospital after falling unconscious at Lux nightclub on Dunbar Street, Belfast, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Police, fire crews, and paramedics arrived at the venue around 2:20am on December 1 following reports of two women collapsing inside the club.
Despite desperate attempts to save her, one woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was taken to hospital, where she remains in treatment. Her condition has not been disclosed.
Police Launch Investigation
The PSNI confirmed an investigation is underway into the cause of the sudden tragedy. A spokesperson said:
“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman in her 20s at a nightclub in Belfast city centre during the early hours of this morning. Sadly, upon arrival, one woman was found to have passed away. The other was taken to hospital and remains under care.”
Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information.
