A man in his 20s has died in hospital after a brutal stabbing in Hither Green this afternoon.
Stabbing Shocks Hither Green
The attack took place around 3.25pm today (October 28) on Hither Green Lane near Benin Street. Emergency crews found the young victim with serious stab wounds and rushed him to hospital. Sadly, he died shortly after arriving despite frantic efforts to save him.
Police Launch Urgent Manhunt
Superintendent Nick Jowett from the Met’s Royal Borough of Greenwich team said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this distressing time.” He added detectives are working swiftly to track down those behind the senseless attack. “Local residents will see an increased police presence. Please come forward with any information or concerns.”
Crime Scene Closes Roads, No Arrests Yet
- No arrests made so far in connection with the stabbing.
- Hither Green Lane and Benin Street remain closed as police guard the scene.
