County Lines Drug Dealer Jailed for Over 3 Years in Ipswich

Emran Ahmed, 19, from Hopton Road, Ipswich, has been locked up for 40 months after pleading guilty to supplying heroin and cocaine and possessing criminal property. The Ipswich Crown Court handed down the sentence on Wednesday, 16 November.

Cracking Down on County Lines Crime

Ahmed was arrested on 1 May at Alexandra Park, Ipswich. Police investigations revealed he was part of a County Lines drug operation based in London, with connections to local class A dealers in Ipswich.

Key evidence came from Ahmed’s phone, which contained contacts linking him to the London suppliers and local dealers.

The arrest was made under Operation Orochi, a joint effort by Suffolk Constabulary and the Metropolitan Police to tackle the scourge of County Lines drug trafficking between London and Suffolk.
