Teen Phone Snatched in Westgate – Thief Nabbed at Margate Seafront!
Kent Police sprang into action just before 10pm on Monday, 10 October 2022, after a 17-year-old lad was robbed of his phone and cash on Edith Road, Westgate.
Quick-Thinking Cops Track Stolen Phone
Using info from the victim, officers tracked the stolen phone to Margate seafront. They swooped in and arrested a man suspected of robbery.
Drug Haul Found After Arrest
A haul of suspected class A drugs was seized during the arrest. The case is now being probed by Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.
19-Year-Old Charged with Multiple Offences
- James Kiff, 19, from Alicia Avenue, Margate, faces charges of robbery, possession of counterfeit currency, heroin and crack cocaine possession with intent to supply, and supplying cannabis.
- He is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 October.
