Road rage brawl ends with lorry driver battered and attacker behind bars!
Minor Crash Sparks Major Violence
Joshua Bojko lost his temper after his car collided with a lorry on Old Derby Road, Eastwood. The drama unfolded around 1pm on 22 January 2022 when the lorry driver had to brake sharply as Bojko performed an awkward three-point turn in his Audi.
The 32-year-old then unleashed a tirade of abuse before his car rolled back and nudged the HGV. Things quickly escalated.
Lorry Driver Punched to the Floor
When the lorry driver got out to check for damage, Bojko threw a savage punch to the face. The victim hit the road, suffering serious injuries.
Passersby found the man lying in the street with fractures to both sides of his jaw, nose, and eye socket.
ANPR Leads Police to Attacker
Police tracked down Bojko using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras. He was arrested, charged, and pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
Justice Served at Nottingham Crown Court
Bojko, from Pine Avenue, Heanor, Derbyshire, was sentenced to one year behind bars at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, 11 March.
