Cyclist Hit by Car in Maidstone Chaos

The Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance rushed to the scene after a cyclist was knocked down on Sutton Road near Bircholt Road. The crash happened just after 10am on Sunday morning.

Air Ambulance Touches Down Near New Estate

The charity-funded aircrew landed in a nearby field on Gore Court Road, close to the new Bellway Bicknor Wood estate. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were already treating the cyclist when air ambulance doctors arrived to provide urgent care.

Police Confirm Details and Road Closure

A Kent Police spokesman said:

“Officers were called at around 9.55am to a collision involving a car and a man on a bicycle at the junction of Sutton Road and Bircholt Road, Maidstone. The man on the bike has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. The junction remains closed as officers carry out initial enquiries.”
