Air Ambulance and Police Swarm Croydon After Assault
Emergency services swooped on George Street, Croydon, on Tuesday evening following reports of an assault. Police were called around 5.15pm and raced to the scene, joined by paramedics and an air ambulance.
One Injured in Head Attack
Medics treated one person for a head injury sustained during the assault. Despite the dramatic emergency response, no arrests have been made so far. Police are digging into the incident, with inquiries still ongoing.
Tram Services Hit by Police Activity
The arrival of the air ambulance and multiple ambulances caught the eye of locals. Police vehicles blocked the tramway, forcing a temporary suspension of 1 Tram services in east Croydon.
Transport for London (TfL) quickly confirmed that the episode wasn’t directly tied to the London Trams network. “Services were halted briefly due to police presence in the area but have since returned to normal,” TfL said.
