Teen Brutally Assaulted on Margate Seafront

Violence erupted on Margate’s seafront last Tuesday evening, July 19, with a 16-year-old boy viciously attacked.

Shocking Attack on Marine Terrace

At around 5:10pm, two groups of youths clashed near Marine Terrace, opposite Hall By The Sea Road. The teenager was punched, knocked to the ground, then kicked repeatedly by at least five attackers.

Police rushed to the scene. The injured boy was taken to hospital with head wounds but has since been discharged.

Dispersal Order Imposed to Quell Trouble

To stop further chaos, authorities slapped a 48-hour dispersal order on Margate’s seafront that same night. This gave officers extra powers to move on troublemakers and arrest anyone who refused to comply.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Footage

Margate CID are probing the assault and want witnesses to step up. They’re especially keen to see any mobile phone videos capturing the incident.
