A massive fire tore through the headquarters of private ambulance contractor “Ambulance Transfers” near Lakeside Shopping Centre in the early hours of August 3.
10 Crews Battle Smoke-Choked Industrial Unit
Firefighters rushed to Motherwell Way just after 5 a.m. to tackle a fierce blaze at a huge industrial unit measuring 20 by 40 metres. Ten crews from Essex and London, including teams from Orsett, Basildon, Brentwood, Corringham, Chelmsford, and Grays, are battling thick smoke billowing from the building.
Residents Urged to Keep Doors and Windows Shut
Due to heavy smoke, locals have been warned to keep windows and doors closed for safety. Firefighters are working in sections to bring the fire under control as the operation continues.
