Woman Charged After Police Seize Four Firearms in Coventry Raid

A 32-year-old woman has been charged after West Midlands Police recovered four firearms and ammunition from a Coventry home.

Police Raid Uncovers Revolver and Sawn-Off Shotguns

Acting on intelligence, officers executed a search warrant at a property on Uxbridge Avenue on the evening of Friday, 25 April. The raid yielded a revolver, a pistol, two sawn-off shotguns, and a quantity of ammunition.

Katie Baxendale Arrested and Charged with Five Firearm Offences

Katie Baxendale was arrested at the scene and now faces five separate charges related to possession of firearms and ammunition. She appeared before Coventry Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody. Her next court hearing is scheduled for 29 May 2025.

“This recovery demonstrates our commitment to tackling illegal firearms and protecting our communities. We encourage anyone with information about illegal weapons to come forward,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
